Data deletion
How to ask BytecodeHS to delete personal information we hold about you.
Last updated: 25 September 2026
Send a request
Email privacy@bytecodehs.net with the subject “Data deletion request”. Include the name and email address you used with us, whether your request concerns an enquiry or a client engagement, and a short description of the information. For security research material, you may contact security@bytecodehs.net instead. Please do not include passwords or sensitive technical material in the first email.
Verification
We may ask for information needed to verify your identity or authority before deleting or disclosing records. If the information is held on behalf of a client, we may coordinate the request with that client under the relevant agreement.
How we handle it
We will assess the request under applicable law and any signed client agreement, including the right to seek correction or deletion of inaccurate, incomplete, unclear, or outdated information. We will explain if information cannot be deleted because it is needed for a legal duty, an active agreement, or a dispute. The retention period for non-customer enquiries in the contact-ticket database is 12 months; a daily job deletes tickets older than one year. Direct email correspondence and Vultr's automated backups may follow different retention periods.
